Fast, reliable and professional sofa cleaning across Leeds

One of our biggest strengths is how quickly we can respond. Thanks to our local team and efficient scheduling, we’re often able to attend at short notice — sometimes even the same day. This is especially important for spillages, pet accidents or last-minute cleaning before guests or property inspections. Using professional-grade equipment and fabric-safe solutions, we provide deep, effective cleaning tailored to each sofa, with no hidden costs and no unnecessary delays. Reliable, responsive and trusted across Leeds — that’s what sets us apart.

Sofa Cleaning Across Leeds – From Headingley to Garforth

Leeds is our home city – our base is in Holbeck, LS11 – so most upholstery jobs here can be booked within days, not weeks. We clean sofas, armchairs and dining chairs in Headingley, Horsforth, Roundhay, Chapel Allerton, Pudsey, Morley, Rothwell, Garforth and Guiseley.

A lot of our Leeds work comes from two kinds of customers: families with kids and pets who need a fabric sofa brought back to life, and landlords and tenants around Headingley and Hyde Park who need furniture cleaned before a move-out inspection. Either way, we clean in your home and the sofa is usually dry within about two hours.

Deep Fabric Cleaning Process safe to your Sofa

Using high-quality equipment and professional-grade cleaning solutions from top British suppliers, we’re able to deep clean even the most heavily soiled upholstery. Our process combines steam, carefully selected detergents, manual agitation, and powerful rinsing to ensure dirt is thoroughly removed from your sofa – not just spread around. Our cleaning method can be adjusted based on the type of fabric and the level of soiling, delivering safe and effective results every time..

The entire sofa-cleaning process comes down to loosening the embedded dirt and extracting it from the fabric, along with all the cleaning agents and any excess rinse water. When carried out correctly, the process should leave your upholstery only slightly moist, allowing it to dry within as little as 2 hours..

Every year, each of our technicians completes several courses in advanced stain removal and fine fabric cleaning, continually developing their skills as part of our CPD programme. This ensures our knowledge of the latest stain-removal techniques is always fully up to date. The industry evolves quickly — what seemed impossible last year is becoming standard practice today. With us, you can be confident that you’re receiving the highest level of professional sofa cleaning service available near you.

Leeds has plenty of pet owners, and plenty of second-hand sofas changing hands through online marketplaces and house clearances. Both lead to the same phone call: a sofa that looks fine but smells of urine as soon as the heating goes on. Air freshener never solves it, because the smell sits in the cushion foam, not just in the cover.

For these jobs we change our standard clean. We locate the affected areas, apply a specialist urine-neutralising treatment and then extract it, so we deal with the source rather than masking it. Where urine has soaked through, we treat the cushion inserts themselves, not only the surface fabric. If you are not sure how bad it is, send Marek a photo and describe the smell – he will tell you honestly whether it can be fixed before you book.

At the end of every upholstery cleaning, we ensure that all the fibres of the sofa are aligned in the correct direction to eliminate any signs of cleaning. This is especially important for velvet sofas, where cleaning marks can be permanent and cannot be removed except by re-wetting the sofa.

The final step is always deodorisation, using one of the many fragrances available through our upholstery cleaners. The scent will stay for a long time  and with such a wide range of options, everyone is sure to find something they love.

Drying in Leeds homes

A fabric sofa is normally dry within about two hours of our clean, with no extra equipment. Older Leeds terraces – the stone and red-brick houses around Headingley, Armley, Harehills and Beeston – can be cold and poorly ventilated in autumn and winter, which slows drying down. When a room needs it, we use our dehumidifiers and air movers to speed up drying, so you are not left with a damp sofa for the evening.

Fabric protector

If your sofa sits in a bright bay window, or gets daily use from children and pets, a fabric protector is worth adding after the clean. It forms an invisible layer that slows spills from soaking into the fibres and helps protect the colour from sunlight. We will tell you honestly whether your fabric actually needs it.

What sofa cleaning costs in Leeds

We price upholstery per seat, so a two-seater, a corner sofa and a set of dining chairs are all quoted fairly. Our minimum charge for a visit anywhere in Leeds is £80, there is no deposit, and you pay only after the job is done – by cash or bank transfer. The quickest way to an exact price is to send a photo of the sofa and its fabric label by WhatsApp or live chat. You will usually have a quote within minutes, before anyone comes out.

We are not the cheapest upholstery cleaner in Leeds and we do not try to be. You are paying for 30 years of experience, the right method for your fabric and a result we are happy to stand behind.

Upholstery Cleaning Service: The 3 Main Types of Fabric We Clean

In our daily practice, we clean approximately 200 different sofa models from brands such as DFS, Sofology, Sofa.com, ScS, Loaf, Barker & Stonehouse, Oak Furnitureland, Darlings of Chelsea, Tetrad, Castlery, Dimehouse, EZ Living Furniture, G Plan, Parker Knoll, Duresta, The Lounge Co., La Redoute, Laura Ashley, Aspire Furniture, HSL, Vale Bridgecraft, Archer’s Sofas, Sofas & Stuff, John Lewis & Partners, Habitat, Made.com, Next Home, Dunelm, The White Company, and Furniture Village. They all fall into the 3 types of upholstery cleaning services that we offer.

Everyday fabric sofas

Most sofas we clean in Leeds are modern synthetic fabrics – the kind you find in family homes in Horsforth, Garforth or Rothwell and in furnished flats in the city centre. For these we use hot water extraction (often called steam cleaning) with solutions that are safe for children and pets. It deals with everyday marks – food, drinks, make-up, muddy paws – and with odours from pets, smoking or damp. Before we start, we pre-treat stains and test the fabric, so you know what to expect from the result.

Delicate fabrics – velvet, linen, cotton, viscose and silk blends

Period homes in Roundhay, Chapel Allerton and Headingley often have more delicate upholstery: velvet sofas, linen-look covers and viscose blends. These fabrics can brown, shrink, water-mark or bleed colour if they are cleaned like a standard sofa. We adjust the method, moisture and products for each fabric, and on velvet we finish by grooming the pile in one direction, so no cleaning marks are left behind.

Leather sofas

Leather needs cleaning and feeding, not just wiping. We clean the leather thoroughly, then condition it and apply a protective layer that helps stop it drying out and cracking – especially on sofas that sit next to a radiator or in direct sun.

Deep Sofa Cleaning in Leeds – for Homes, Tenants and Landlords

A deep clean removes what vacuuming cannot: body oils, food residue, dust mites and the grey film that builds up on armrests and headrests.

Most of our Leeds upholstery work falls into three groups. Families who want the main sofa refreshed once or twice a year. Tenants who need furniture cleaned before a move-out inspection and want their deposit back. And landlords and letting agents getting furnished properties ready between tenancies. The method is the same for all three: hot water extraction, done properly, so the sofa is clean all the way through rather than just on the surface.

Regular deep cleaning also makes furniture last longer, because the grit and residue that wear fabric out are rinsed away instead of being ground in every time someone sits down.

Frequently Asked Questions

To make your decision easier, we have compiled answers to some of the most frequently asked questions here.
How much does it cost?
The cost of sofa cleaning depends on a few key factors, including the size of the sofa, the number of seats, the type of fabric and the level of soiling. In most cases, we’re able to provide an accurate quote without a site visit — simply by reviewing a few photos or a short description. This allows us to give you a clear, upfront price with no surprises. Our pricing is always transparent, with no hidden fees, and tailored to the exact condition of your sofa rather than a one-size-fits-all rate.
Will you remove all the stains from the sofa
This is always our main goal, and it usually works out that way. However, sometimes stains are permanent due to damage to the fibres, often natural ones like viscose, cotton or linen. There are methods that work even on these kind of fibres, but we must remember that in some cases, the stain is irremovable. To determine this, a test must be performed. Without a test, we cannot confirm this with 100% certainty.
Will my sofa be very wet?
Our method involves cleaning with liquids. It is the most efficient upholstery cleaning method, but it does leave the sofa moist. Sometimes, when the dirt is more severe, we need to rinse fabric 2-3 times, which also extends the drying time. In summer, sofa can realistically dry less than 2 hours. In winter, it may take up to 5 hours. In our opinion, this is a small inconvenience considering that other methods, such as dry cleaning, are not even 20% as effective. Spreading dirt around the fabric sofa is not cleaning. It is only done when there is no other option, and our method is simply not allowed etc.
What should I prepare before your arrival?
First and foremost, we need access to water and electricity. If there is no power or water, we will not be able to perform the service. Vacuuming is not required, as we always do this as part of our service. This allows us to conduct a proper inspection and identify areas that need special attention. We usually recommend that clients remove small items, plants, and smaller pieces of furniture if possible, to make space in the nearby surrunding.
Do you dry sofas after cleaning?
As part of our standard cleaning service, we do not dry sofas after cleaning. This is a premium option. It takes additional time, thereby increasing the cost of the service. Almost always, sofas are able to dry naturally without any issues. Often, cleaners claim they dry sofas but only set up fans for a few minutes, which is more of a marketing tactic than actual drying. We use equipment for water damage restoration—powerful dryers and dehumidifiers. The dryers help with air circulation, while the dehumidifiers remove excess moisture, allowing us to control the microclimate of your room and ensure the optimal conditions for the fastest furniture drying. This service is priced individually.
