Deep Cleaning of all types of soft furniture in Huddersfield area

Upholstery Cleaning Service for Your Home

We come over to Huddersfield from our Leeds base along the M62, and clean sofas, armchairs and dining chairs in homes across the town and up into the valleys. Booking a few days ahead is usually enough; for urgent spills, tell us and we will try to find an earlier slot.

Huddersfield furniture ranges from family sofas in newer estates to older suites in stone cottages, and converted mill apartments with large open rooms. Each one starts with the same checks – fabric label, colour test and stain assessment – so we choose the right method rather than using one approach for everything.

Sofa Cleaning in Huddersfield and the Colne and Holme Valleys

We cover Huddersfield town and the surrounding villages, including Lindley, Marsh, Almondbury, Fartown, Golcar, Slaithwaite, Honley, Meltham and Holmfirth.

Many homes in the valleys are older stone properties where rooms can feel damp in winter, and fabric sofas pick up musty smells over time. Alongside deep cleaning, we offer odour treatment and fast drying with air movers, so your furniture is not left damp in a cooler room.

Deep Fabric Cleaning Process safe to your Sofa

Using high-quality equipment and professional-grade cleaning solutions from top British suppliers, we’re able to deep clean even the most heavily soiled upholstery. Our process combines steam, carefully selected detergents, manual agitation, and powerful rinsing to ensure dirt is thoroughly removed from your sofa – not just spread around. Our cleaning method can be adjusted based on the type of fabric and the level of soiling, delivering safe and effective results every time..

The entire sofa-cleaning process comes down to loosening the embedded dirt and extracting it from the fabric, along with all the cleaning agents and any excess rinse water. When carried out correctly, the process should leave your upholstery only slightly moist, allowing it to dry within as little as 2 hours..

Every year, each of our technicians completes several courses in advanced stain removal and fine fabric cleaning, continually developing their skills as part of our CPD programme. This ensures our knowledge of the latest stain-removal techniques is always fully up to date. The industry evolves quickly — what seemed impossible last year is becoming standard practice today. With us, you can be confident that you’re receiving the highest level of professional sofa cleaning service available near you.

In cooler, older houses a pet accident on a sofa does not just stain – it combines with damp in the air and becomes a stale, lingering smell that is hard to shift. Second-hand sofas bought locally can bring the same problem into the house.

We treat these jobs as odour removal, not just cleaning. The affected areas are found and treated with a specialist urine-neutralising product, then extracted, so the source is dealt with. Where it has soaked in, we treat the cushion inserts as well as the cover, and we make sure the sofa dries fully, because a sofa left damp in a cold room can pick up a musty smell of its own.

At the end of every upholstery cleaning, we ensure that all the fibres of the sofa are aligned in the correct direction to eliminate any signs of cleaning. This is especially important for velvet sofas, where cleaning marks can be permanent and cannot be removed except by re-wetting the sofa.

The final step is always deodorisation, using one of the many fragrances available through our upholstery cleaners. The scent will stay for a long time  and with such a wide range of options, everyone is sure to find something they love.

Drying in colder valley homes

In a warm, ventilated room a fabric sofa is usually dry within about two hours. In Huddersfield and the Colne and Holme valleys we often work in stone houses with thick walls and cold rooms, where drying naturally takes longer. That is why we bring dehumidifiers and air movers and use them whenever a room needs help, so the sofa is not left damp.

Fabric protector

Once the sofa is clean, a fabric protector helps keep it that way. It slows spills from soaking into the fibres and helps protect colours in rooms that get strong afternoon sun.

Sofa cleaning prices in Huddersfield

Our upholstery prices are per seat, with a minimum charge of £80 for a visit. You pay nothing up front – no deposit – and settle by cash or bank transfer once you are happy with the result. If you also need carpets, rugs or a mattress cleaned, doing everything in one visit is the most cost-effective option.

Send a photo of the sofa and its fabric label by WhatsApp or chat and we will usually reply with a price within minutes.

Upholstery Cleaning Service: The 3 Main Types of Fabric We Clean

In our daily practice, we clean approximately 200 different sofa models from brands such as DFS, Sofology, Sofa.com, ScS, Loaf, Barker & Stonehouse, Oak Furnitureland, Darlings of Chelsea, Tetrad, Castlery, Dimehouse, EZ Living Furniture, G Plan, Parker Knoll, Duresta, The Lounge Co., La Redoute, Laura Ashley, Aspire Furniture, HSL, Vale Bridgecraft, Archer’s Sofas, Sofas & Stuff, John Lewis & Partners, Habitat, Made.com, Next Home, Dunelm, The White Company, and Furniture Village. They all fall into the 3 types of upholstery cleaning services that we offer.

Everyday fabric sofas

Modern synthetic fabrics clean very well with hot water extraction. Our products are safe for children and pets and remove food, drink and make-up stains, greasy marks on headrests and the musty or smoky smells that build up in older homes – including smoke from open fires and wood burners.

Wool, linen, velvet and other delicate fabrics

Cottage and farmhouse-style furniture often uses natural fabrics such as wool, cotton and linen, while newer sofas may be velvet or viscose blends. These can shrink, brown or water-mark if cleaned too wet, so we test first and adjust the method and moisture for each fabric. Velvet is groomed after cleaning, so the pile dries evenly.

Leather furniture

We clean leather with dedicated products, then condition and protect it. That keeps it supple in rooms where it sits near a stove or radiator and would otherwise dry out and crack.

Deep Sofa Cleaning in Huddersfield

Deep cleaning removes the embedded dirt, oils, allergens and odours that build up in upholstery over years of use.

In Huddersfield we clean for families who want a tired sofa refreshed, for people moving into a new home with furniture left behind, and for landlords and tenants – including student houses near the university – who need furniture cleaned at the end of a tenancy. In every case we use hot water extraction, thoroughly enough that the fabric is clean through its depth, not just brightened on top.

Regular deep cleaning also helps furniture last longer, because the gritty soil that wears fibres down is rinsed away.

Upholstery & Sofa Cleaning in Huddersfield: Examples of Our Work

Huddersfield and the Colne and Holme valleys are around 35 to 40 minutes from our Leeds base, and we work seven days a week from 9am to 8pm. We clean everything from terraced houses to larger family homes and commercial premises. We check the fabric and test a hidden area before cleaning, so velvet, linen, chenille, bouclé and leather each get the right treatment.

We also cover the villages around Huddersfield, including Lindley, Marsh, Oaks, Fixby, Golcar, Linthwaite, Slaithwaite, Marsden, Meltham, Honley and Holmfirth.

Frequently Asked Questions

To make your decision easier, we have compiled answers to some of the most frequently asked questions here.
How much does it cost?
We are unable to provide a reliable estimate for the service without additional information. Our minimum charge is £80. To receive a quote, please contact us by, use the chat, or send a message using the form below. We can usually provide a quote without an initial visit to the client, which helps keep the service more affordable.
Will you remove all the stains from the sofa
This is always our main goal, and it usually works out that way. However, sometimes stains are permanent due to damage to the fibres, often natural ones like viscose, cotton or linen. There are methods that work even on these kind of fibres, but we must remember that in some cases, the stain is irremovable. To determine this, a test must be performed. Without a test, we cannot confirm this with 100% certainty.
Will my sofa be very wet?
Our method involves cleaning with liquids. It is the most efficient upholstery cleaning method, but it does leave the sofa moist. Sometimes, when the dirt is more severe, we need to rinse fabric 2-3 times, which also extends the drying time. In summer, sofa can realistically dry less than 2 hours. In winter, it may take up to 5 hours. In our opinion, this is a small inconvenience considering that other methods, such as dry cleaning, are not even 20% as effective. Spreading dirt around the fabric sofa is not cleaning. It is only done when there is no other option, and our method is simply not allowed etc.
What should I prepare before your arrival?
First and foremost, we need access to water and electricity. If there is no power or water, we will not be able to perform the service. Vacuuming is not required, as we always do this as part of our service. This allows us to conduct a proper inspection and identify areas that need special attention. We usually recommend that clients remove small items, plants, and smaller pieces of furniture if possible, to make space in the nearby surrunding.
Do you dry sofas after cleaning?
As part of our standard cleaning service, we do not dry sofas after cleaning. This is a premium option. It takes additional time, thereby increasing the cost of the service. Almost always, sofas are able to dry naturally without any issues. Often, cleaners claim they dry sofas but only set up fans for a few minutes, which is more of a marketing tactic than actual drying. We use equipment for water damage restoration—powerful dryers and dehumidifiers. The dryers help with air circulation, while the dehumidifiers remove excess moisture, allowing us to control the microclimate of your room and ensure the optimal conditions for the fastest furniture drying. This service is priced individually.
