Our Commecial Carpet Cleaning Process
We understand how important it is to maintain clean carpets in a working environment where many people operate daily. Carpets absorb a lot of dirt, and even though they are often designed for heavy use with specialised carpet tiles, keeping them clean still requires a professional visit at least once a year. We offer two the most popular carpet cleaning methods:
HWE – Hot Water Extraction
1. Vaccuming
Vacuuming the carpets allows us to remove all dry, solid dirt. During the vacuuming process, we conduct an inspection, which helps us identify areas that require more attention or additional treatments.
2. Pre-spray
Applying prespray involves the use of a properly selected chemical agent. It is chosen not only based on the type of carpet but also on the type of dirt present in the carpet. The agent’s purpose is to dissolve the dirt and prepare it for removal from the carpet.
3. Agitation
4. Extraction
Extraction is the process most commonly associated with carpet cleaning. It involves using a machine that can simultaneously rinse and extract water from the carpet. This allows us to remove dirt, the chemical agent, and excess water, leaving the carpet clean and only slightly damp. Our modern equipment minimizes the drying time of the carpets.
Encapsulation – Low Moisture Cleaning
Encapsulation is another highly effective carpet cleaning method, particularly for large areas. It is less time-consuming and doesn’t require the use of an extractor. The chemical agents are designed to bind and crystallise the dirt, and a special pad absorbs it on its surface. The results are immediately visible, and this method allows for cleaning even extensive carpeted areas in a short amount of time.
Encapsulation – Purpose and Key Features
Encapsulation may seem like a much simpler method, which also affects the cost of the service; however, it’s important to remember that these methods are not fully interchangeable. In our experience, we typically offer first-time clients HWE (Hot Water Extraction) or a combination of HWE in more heavily soiled areas and Encapsulation where activity and dirt accumulation are less intense. Encapsulation therefore serves as a complementary method. If a client wishes to have their carpets cleaned again before the recommended 12-18 month period, we also suggest Encapsulation as an excellent way to refresh the carpets.
Encapsulation works well even on heavily soiled carpets with coffee and tea stains. The visual improvement is so significant that, for many cleaners, it has become the primary carpet cleaning method for commercial clients. This is largely due to its simplicity and time efficiency.
HWE vs. ENCAPSULATION
Nothing can replace HWE (Hot Water Extraction). Rinsing and extracting the dirt provides the best results, as both the dirt and the cleaning chemicals used in the process are effectively removed from the carpet. Encapsulation also always improves the overall appearance of the carpet, but its drawback is that with very soiled carpets, some amount of the cleaning agent remains in the carpet, and the dirt is spread around and not always fully removed. Although less noticeable to the naked eye, the effectiveness is significantly reduced.
